vet work experience

hi, i’ve submitted my application for vet nursing.
i’ve been offered more experience at a farm, helping out with lambing. is it worth me taking up this experience even though my application is already submitted as i have the minimum 2 weeks already? the only uni that i would need to do an interview for where i could mention it is bristol. thank you!

hi, i’ve submitted my application yesterday for vet nursing, gateway to vet science at bristol and a biovet science course. i wrote in my personal statement that i had completed 2 weeks of work experience at a vets, but in reality i won’t have done that experience until the end of october during half term. does this matter?

yeah, i would say it 'matters'. honesty is the second of the five principles of practice: Code of Professional Conduct for Veterinary Nurses - Professionals (rcvs.org.uk). what if they confirm the dates?

i emailed and asked, references for the vet practices have to be submitted before june 2025 which is after i complete my experience, which is fine

How did you even write a personal statement without having any veterinary work experience? Aren't you supposed to revolve your personal statement around it?

They said they have the minimum two weeks which should be enough for a personal statement if they get as much good detail out of it as possible!
Also, concerning OP's question, I think it's definitely worth doing the extra experience! Even if you don't end up mentioning at interview (which you probably will) then it'll be a great personal experience.
