I think the way you can balance vulnerability and independence is by being open about your feelings and sharing your vulnerable moments with your partner, but not expecting them to fix your problems for you. You can share your emotions with them, and your vulnerable feelings, without relying on them to make everything better.

Of course, it’s ok if your partner does fix your problem for you, or if they do make things better, but it’s important that they’re not the only solution. If you start to rely on someone for everything, it can become emotionally exhausting for them. You are still responsible for your own happiness.
