Hi @user4873

I'm not a media student here at BCU but I am part of the ADM faculty, so I might be able to offer a broader experience on the arts, design and media courses.

All of the design and media courses are based in the Parkside Building, which is around a 10 minute walk into Birmingham City Centre. I personally really like that we're all based in the same area as the whole building feels creative and like a working studio style environment. There's also lots of study spots and food options, like Starbucks and the main restaurant, so there's everything you need in the same building.
You can also head on over to the Curzon Building, where you have access to the Library and other study spaces there too.
There's also opportunities to try other subjects within the faculty, such a ceramics, textiles, photography, and many more. It's a very collaborative environment so there's lots to try. There's also media and wider art and design societies you can join in with, including the Creative Exchange group where you can meet weekly to try different creative activities for free!

Have you had chance to attend an open day? An open day is a great opportunity to check out the course and campus and answer some more questions in person. Don't worry if you're unable to attend, however, as you can also have a look at the BCU social media accounts and the Media course Instagram to see what current students have been getting up to.

Hope this helps. 🙂
