Further maths vs politics

Im currently doing maths fm chemistry and politics. I dont want to continue four and i dont know what to drop. I have no idea what i want to do at uni or what i even want to be in life. Two careers im interested in are chemical engineering because its just a good job where u can make money and the other is police detective/ something related to criminal law. its between further maths and politics

further maths isn’t required for any of the courses you mentioned, whereas politics may be relevant for law. by that logic dropping further maths makes more sense, but make sure to check course subject requirements.

oh yes, it does, i forgot. In this case you really do have to decide between chem engineering and law then.

Honestly, if you're not too keen on maths/ studying maths at Uni, drop FM. Maths and Chem is enough to get you into STEM courses at Uni in case you wanted to change. If you're finding politics alright and your grades are good, keep politics. Since you dont know what you want to do, find work experiences (even if online) for careers you could be interested in and see how it is.

Most don't require 3 maths/science subjects. The only one that I know of is Cambridge (which also includes biotechnology in it's course). Most other courses will accept maths + physics or chemistry.

even if politics is more relevant to law no subjects are required for law i think its safer to do fm as it may be required for chemical engineering but if you ultimately decide to do law it wont matter what a levels you did and you can still get into the course for law with stem based subjects
