Think Ahead 2025

Hi! I have seen previous threads on here for previous years but not one for the 2025 programme. Thought i’d open one up! I’ve just submitted my written & video application so still a few weeks to wait for an outcome. Has anyone else applied and what area are you hoping for? 😊
I have greater manchester & merseyside down as i’m slap bang in the middle of both!

Hey! I've also applied. Can you tell me what sort of questions there are for the written and video application?

Hey I’m in the process of applying, I’ve done the written application just working up the courage for the video part . I’ve still got a few days to finish it . I’m in southeast not sure how many opportunities there are in Sussex but thought I would give it a go.

Hey! Have you been able to look at the questions now? You get them once you’ve passed the situational judgement test. If not, they’re questions surrounding their core values and what experiences you’ve had to match them. Nothing major but they do take some time to answer.

Yep, I didn't realise they give you the questions prior to it. Completed both written and video responses now just a waiting game I guess!

Hi guys! I am also in the process of applying (working on written application now). Plan to finish this week and aiming for north or east london.

I am 27 and already working in the mental health sector as an IPS Employment advisor, so it'll be great to connect with those in a similar boat!

i’m 21, birmingham. I’ve deferred from last year so should have a place depending on locations - good luck everyone applying x

It was difficult but I can understand why because they’re trying to prepare you. Honestly was so shocked I got a place because I had a meltdown midway through. I think they really like when you link everything back to one of their core attributes so every experience I mentioned I reflected on and linked it back in some way x

Thank you, this is helpful! I’m nervous for the role play and group task most I think x

The role play was the thing I struggled with most. But try not to panic and just talk slowly and be comfortable if there’s a silence it’s not the end of the world and can be a good thing. Group task I found really easy as in our group we just bounced off of each others ideas so it felt quite natural x

I’m assuming they give information before the role play? I think I’m getting nervous about not knowing what to say haha x

I'm 27 and hoping to get onto the programme in London, I just completed my video application and so the waiting game begins! Fingers crossed that I can get to the assessment stage.

Good luck to you all!

Hey well done sounds like it was quite draining . Do you need to know a lot about mental health and the legislation to do well in the AC?
