Physics Unis AAB

Hi I’m predicted AAB (physics, econ, math at B) and an A for my epq and I have an HSK 3 in mandarin, the universities I have down at the moment in Leeds, Liverpool, Loughborough and Loughborough foundation for my safe. I was just wandering what other university that is good for physics I should apply for maybe an aspirational that would still give me an offer at AAB or ones that lower the grades with an epq at A?
Thanks.

I’m also thinking of putting either Exeter which would be more solid or Kings as an aspirational however they want AAA with maths and physics AA so would it be a waste to put kings?

Hey there Viren.

Lovely to hear you're considering going into Physics! I've heard its a very varied and enjoyable course. From a little browsing I can see that Exeter are asking for AAA-ABB, including an A in Maths and B in Physics OR a B in Maths and a B in Physics so its good to see you're considering this already. Sheffield also offer a course at AAB (inc Maths and Physics but no grade stated) or ABB with a B in your EPQ.

I would say that the majority of physics courses do ask for an A in maths, and so if you think you can manage an A then perhaps see if your teacher would be willing to boost up your predicted grade as this will open up a lot more options if you wanted to explore different unis. In the meantime just do the best you can to work on the areas of maths you think are holding you back from the A. If you haven't already then I'd check out the Complete University Guide as they have a good list of unis ranked by different criteria, in case you wanted some more inspo 🙂

Very best of luck!
