Anyone here use internet dating?

I sometimes match with someone a bit racy or interesting and wonder why they matched. I know I will bore them so I unmatch or tell them this, or both. Am I selling myself short, do opposites attract? Or is my intuition right that I will bore them haha? No unkindness now, just objective analysis please.

I just matched with this attractive woman. I told her I'd bore her. She said she swiped right cos she read my profile and I'm handsome, and I should have more confidence in myself.

People are interested in all sorts of stuff or levels/frequency of conversations tbh, you'll only really know if you're boring any one person by experience.

I deffo have hobbies and interests I know aren't for everyone and would bore a lot of people if I spent a lot of time talking about them, I just tend to keep those bits slightly off to the side and only discuss them lightly, while trying to keep an open mind about what someone else might be trying to tell me about their interests.
Honestly you should have more confidence in yourself. Trust people to make their own decisions about you, don't unmatch them proactively. It sounds like you consider yourself boring but you're probably just not your type. Other people might find you more interesting than you do.

Thanks. 👍 'I'm not my type' reminds me of a Morrissey lyric haha!
