Going back to uni for postgraduate at 24/25

Hi there,

I graduated in 2021 with a 2:2 in physics at a top Russell group uni.

My mental health deteroriated in my final year and I never found a proper job from it. I've since also estranged myself from my family. I'm still really anxious so I find it hard to express myself in interviews but it seems I'm still in call centres and bars and I overwork to try to make up the money but it feels like it isn't enough.

Would anyone have advise for going back to uni? What do I even say in a personal statement? I was looking at data analyst conversion courses but I'd kind of want to go into film. I just don't think I have good enough experience as I just have films I've made on YouTube.

Honestly any advise would help as I don't have people to talk to.

Hey There,
It's okay that you were not mentally well and It's not a crime. It is also okay to take time for your personal wellbeing and you are not alone in this battle. You can very much apply for a master course and as stated you have your youtube films to back it up. you can pretty much tell the adm dept why do you want to pursue the course and the experience you have. Not all postgrad students have relevant experience. Having a degree from Russell states that you are good at studies and also committed to what you do. I would suggest you trust yourself and give it a try. It's now or never. I hope this helps. Thank you.
