Hi All.
I am Year 13 doing OCR history - Late Tudors, Westward Expansion America 1800-1900 and Russia and its Rulers 1855-1964. My coursework is on Elizabeth and her ability to deal with religious challenges.
I also study Government and Politics edexcel as well as Economics A edexcel.
I am predicted an A for all of those subjects and if anyone has any queries about any of those I can see if I can help

Hey, for Ideaologies, I prefer to focus on key terms, i write them out, then their meaning and associated key thinkers and real life examples, I can then use them all in past papers

Hiya !!!!

I’m Year 13 doing wjec 💖 I study civil rights/ American foreign policy for unit 3 , protest and reform for unit 4 and Douglas Haig as coursework!!!!

My fave things about history is that I’m always learning something new and never bored  I’m predicted A*AA and hope to go on to do law! If anyone does/had done these topics any tips would be so so so helpful

Thanks Geo!
Hi guys, I take OCR A history and am studying German nationalism in the 18th century, England around King John and Henry III, and the Crusades. I also take Maths and FM, Chemistry and Economics but I have to drop one and I have no idea which one to drop. Defo not maths though. I got an 8 in GCSE history which is was furious about - exam board made a huge mistake but school wouldn’t fund an appeal :frown: Anyway, nice to see a thread like this!

hi guys so I'm currently doing my CIE A levels, pursuing history, french, literature and biblical studies. After writing two mocks, my grades have either remained the same or gone up. I mean they're not bad but i know i can do better. A level is more demanding than i expected tbvh but we'll pull through ig

You need to know your history for both papers. Paper one needs contextual knowledge and intelligent source analysis. For paper two, you really need to know your history! Has your teacher provided exam technique guidance? That's important too for both papers. What topics are you doing?

HEY! I'm in year 12, doing edexcel history a level and currently learning south africa (1948-94), USA (1917-96) and I'm just starting my course work. I'm going to do the English civil war although I'm still not entirely sure on a question. Next year we're also going to do politics in Britain in the 1700's (can't remember the exact years).
I really love history and learning how things were and knowing random obscure facts to drop into normal conversations. What I struggle with however is the time, being able to plan and write a decent essay in the time given is very difficult but hopefully I'll get better 🙂
(also if anyone recognises the reference in my username I love you)
