My student finance has been cancelled

Today is the day for my uni to get the payment, but they did not get it (and I still have not received my maintenance loan), so I checked my account it said my application had been cancelled, I didn't even touch anything at all, I really need help, what should I do, they already approved my application ( for now, I reapply instantly after the account said I cancelled my application), what happened, help, please

Hi there,

We don't have account access on public forum.

What type of application did you make? Have you had any emails or letters?

Thanks,
Ross

no, I didn't get any email, I need to check the inbox of the student finance account to know that my application is cancelled, I don't know if it is related to my situation, but this year I actually took a re-sit in A-level, but I didn't get the grade I need to change uni, so I immediately change my application to my current uni after I received my re-check of my paper, which is 13th September

Should I inform my uni about the situation I am in now?

just any update, as I reapplied instantly after the account said my application was cancelled, now it requires my supporters to support my application, so I uploaded the PFF2 file straightaway from my account (my mother is not a UK citizen), for my father, his account said it will need to wait for 3 hours to be able to support my application

Just to clarify, did you change your course and university for your second application?

Thanks,
Ross

for the current new one, or the old one that had been cancelled? for the current new one, I just put in the university that I am now studying in, which is the same as the uni I entered after I received my new result

I was going to suggest contacting us directly so our advisors can actually see your applications.

There's a live chat function on your account, you can access that, or you can call 0300 100 0607.

Thanks,
Ross

Hello, sorry for bothering you again, I have just finished talking with your staff, and they can only advise me to reapply, which I have already done, so how long would it take for the application to be approved? My Uni deadline is on the 24th of October, and would it affect the amount of my maintenance loan?

and as I am reapplying that late due to the cancellation, would I need to pay the tuition fee myself?

Hi there, if you've been advised to reapply we do give the 6-8 week timescale. This is a general timescale but I would advise letting the university know the situation and the current estimated date. You can track your application with our processing timescale via here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/sfe-current-application-timescales or via your account here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8a4p4IP1lzo
Thanks, Jason

good morning, I think I have good news, I just checked and my application is already approved, but now there is a "Force Non-Means Tested Customer Notification-SFE" pop-up ( I believe this is because of my situation), so does it mean I will not get the full amount of maintenance loan for my whole second year? or will Student fiance pay me the full amount of money after they check my parents' evidence? ( my parents already uploaded all their supporting evidence)

Hi,

If it's been force approved then you'd get the standard amount just now.

Once their details process we can update the entitlement.

Thanks,
Ross
