University of leeds and BTEC student

Hiya, I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about the Uni of Leeds?
I'm looking to apply there to do mathematics and I'm currently getting over the required amount of UCAS grades. However one of those is a BTEC, and I heard they are less likely to consider BTEC students.
Can anyone confirm this?

From he Maths page on the website; BTEC qualifications in relevant disciplines are considered in combination with other qualifications, including grade A in A-level mathematics, or equivalent. You need to email them to see if they will accept your BTEC (what course are you doing?). I should imagine they would accept say BTEC Engineering with Maths units, but probably wouldn't accept say, a BTEC in Sport or Public services.

BTEC creative digital media (games), it's basically programming and creating games, very similar to what I'm doing in Computer Science for my project. I know there are programming units in the course I am looking at but still.

tell them which qualifications you are studying (all of them) and ask them if they will be acceptable for your chosen Degree course!
