I hope everyone is doing good, I have one question please help me. I applied my student finance application and applied for adult dependent grant as I don’t work my husband supported my application and it’s got approved. But now I started a job and I am in probation period just got the job offer not the permanent contract. I will start my uni in January I don’t know I should change my adult dependent grant or no. I am not sure i will be in work after 6 months of probation period. Please do help me what to do?

Hi Sehrish, are you not the student? As the adult dependant grant is for an adult who is dependant financially on you. Do you no longer have a depending adult? Thanks, Jason
I depend on my husband and he has supported my application. But I got a job last week but it’s a temporary job for 6 months, they will decide at the end of probation period that they will hire me or not. My application for next year is already approved on husband income.

Hi.

You wouldn't be eligible for the Adult Dependent Grant if you're the student and dependent on your Husband. We'd use his income to make you eligible for the Higher rate of Maintenance Loan.
