Ughhh

I'm 19, turning 20 before the next academic year. I have no GCSEs because I dropped out of school in year 9. My dream is to go to university to be a sociologist, but I'm so far from being there.

I didn't go to college this year, which is a wasted year, but I genuinely can't afford it. I don't know what to do. I need to get 3 A levels, but it's my understanding that you have to have 5 GCSEs to even get into A levels.

I'm lost with what to do as I don't want to be going to university so old. I have lost my teenage years due to my mental health and illnesses. I wish I could turn back time.

Look up access courses. There are plenty of people in your situation, who have no formal qualifications so don’t feel alone. My friend didn’t and she did an access course and is now a physiotherapist- There might be some run locally to you or google ‘open university access courses’
