Birthday help
I’ve had a friend for 6 years and their family is so strict to the point they shipped them off to Pakistan so they missed gcses, in year 8 she couldn’t come to my bday party since her parents didn’t let her, now I’m turning 18, I have absolutely no other friends except her, someone else and my bf (he’s not available on my day) me and the 2 girls are a trio of 6 years strong and I suggested London for my bday, she told me she can go if her older sis comes and the other can defo go, I expected this even tho she’s 17 her parents are still strict, her sister agreed to come and we got to planning, and we noticed the trains are down on my bday so we’d have to take a 1.5hr bus and her older sister said she’s not coming if we’re gonna take the bus but it’s not even her celebration. I found a 2hr train and her sister agreed again and in my heart I knew it was too good to be true but I didn’t want to believe it bcs I wanted this to happen I haven’t seen them since may since we go to different colleges and i hang out w no one in school so I can’t invite anyone else. Today she said she can’t come since her sister has school work which I think is a bs excuse on her sisters part, and her parents said she can’t go w/o an adult family member and no one else is available, my bday is in 2days and I had no other plan, the other girl doesn’t wanna go w just me. My bday is on a Saturday and last year i didn’t celebrate it, this is my 18th and itll be the same except ill be home solving definite integration by substitution and writing gatsby essays since the best thing I can do is distract myself. I have no friends in school and if theres any suggestions on what I can do or any opinions please replyyyy!!!
I'm sorry to hear that your friend can't make it. Is your family able to celebrate your birthday with you? Perhaps they could take you out for a nice meal and to the cinema, or something like that?
Failing that, if you live close to London, how about hopping on the Eurostar and treating yourself to a day trip to Paris? Bit far out there I know, but you only live once, and you're not a baby after all. It's a wonderful place to explore even if you're solo.
