What Universities would accept BTEC grades?

Hello all, I was wondering what universities would accept me if all I have are BTEC grades. I'm just started year 12 so it's a bit hard to say what my end grades would be but so far all I've gotten are distinctions (Which I'm pretty sure is the A level equivalent to an A).
I'm currently doing applied science and am dreaming of going to University to study veterinary medicine. Any advice would be helpful, thanks you and God bless xx

Assuming you're doing the Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Applied Science (the equivalent of three A levels) and not two or three smaller BTECs (like the Extended Certificate or the Diploma) then you have some options - although they can be very fussy with regards to individual units, and they demand very high grades.

Here are some examples:

Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVetMS) at Harper & Keele Veterinary School

"Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma" "D*D*D*"
"Applied Science (all routes) with at least four from the following optional units:
Physiology of Human Body Systems
Human Regulation and Reproduction
Biological Molecules and Metabolic Pathways
Genetics and Genetic Engineering
Diseases and Infections
Applications of Inorganic Chemistry
Applications of Organic Chemistry"
(See here for details.)

Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine at Royal Veterinary College
"Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Applied Science / Applied Science (Biomedical Science): D*D*D* overall with Distinctions in:
Principles and Applications of Science I (90)
Principles and Applications of Science II (120)
Science Investigation Skills or Contemporary Issues in Science (120)
Two of: Applications of Organic Chemistry; Applications of Inorganic Chemistry; Practical Chemical Analysis (120)
In addition:
For Applied Science: at least three units from Group A must be taken with Distinctions achieved.
For Applied Science (Biomedical Science): at least four units from Group A must be taken with Distinctions achieved in three of them."
(See here for details.)

Veterinary Medicine & Surgery at University of Central Lancashire
"Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (1080 glh): D*D*D*"
Beyond that requirement, it appears that the following also applies, although they refer to the Diploma rather than the Extended Diploma:
"Pass Diploma at D*D*D* in Applied Science with at least four from the following optional units:
Physiology of Human Body Systems
Human Regulation and Reproduction
Biological Molecules and Metabolic Pathways
Genetics and Genetic Engineering
Diseases and Infections
Applications of Inorganic Chemistry
Applications of Organic Chemistry"
(See here for details.)

If your grades or units won't meet the requirements, then would you consider a gateway programme / foundation year?

Thank you for your response. As to your question, I would definitely go towards the gateway route x
