Doing an AS

Hi! I'm in year 12 and currently taking Bio, Chem,. English Lit and Maths and am considering dropping one (most likely but not definitely maths) at the end of the year. I'm hoping to take the AS in the one I drop but my questions are if the AS is even offered in Bio or English (I know it isn't really in Chem) and how much a maths AS is worth to unis/employers. Is it a good extra qualification which would be useful in getting offers, potentially with lower grades, or is it just something extra on the CV and nothing more? Thanks!

it probably depend on the major you are applying for and it's not clear looking at your choices bio, chem, math, lit. For science subjects a full A level math should help a lot, for arts and humanities it might be different

Oh right my chem teacher said they won't do it unless you're seriously ill in y13 or something. Maybe it's an exam board thing?

Most schools in England don't offer AS as it is a stand alone qualification now A levels are linear.
