Fashion design courses

Hi all,

I am interested starting my own fashion line company but I don’t really know basic or have basic skills to be a designer. I have a creative mind and I know what I wanna design.

So I am looking into doing fashion design courses to equip me the skills I require. What do you recommend is the best design school in London?

Hiya! I hope that you're well. I'm a Graphic Design student at Norwich University of the Arts and totally know how it feels to be stuck trying to decide on a degree/ Uni!

My top tip would be to request a prospectus from a variety of universities (I think I got about 12 even though I knew half of them I definitely wouldn't be applying for), this is a great way to be able to read about course content from a few different courses in a few different universities. You can find our prospectus here where you can request one for free. Alternatively, we have information on all of our courses here: Norwich Uni Arts courses. These also provide an insight into where various courses can lead to.

Attending university open days can also help you to get a feel for each university and what it would be like to study there as well as meet current students. A list of our upcoming events can be found here: Norwich Uni Arts Open Days. I personally found that attending as many of these as possible really helped me out and helped to reassure my choice in degree.

Hi there @Monaliz I totally agree with Charlotte! Open Days are a wonderful way to get a glimpse of uni life, get a feel for the course and campus while meeting new people and current students! You may want to consider Kingston's BA Fashion as one of your options, Kingston BA Fashion is no.1 in London and no.2 in the UK, with amazing open-access workshops ranging from fashion, metal, print making and much more 🥳
Other popular options for fashion design in London would be Westminster and University Arts London(LCF, CSM)! Hope this helps🙂
