New vision uni Georgia

Hi,
Im looking to apply to New vision University (NVU) in Georgia to study undergrad med. I live in England but they offer an online course, i was just wondering if anyone has gone down this path and if its an accepted qualification by the GMC here? Could anyone share their experience? Thank youuu

at least two medical grads from NVU have received full GMC registration. They are working in the UK.

Hey, I'm currently studying dental medicine at NVU online and I'd say its obviously harder to stay focused (think back to lockdown days) but if you stay focused it's fine. I'm not sure about med but for dent you can do first 2 years online so I assume its the same. Medicine is a 6 year course in NVU so you can definitely do it and come back to the UK to work, you just have to do the PLAB exam.

I wouldn't let a dentist or a doctor who had obtained his or her degree online to go anywhere near me or anyone I cared about.

Would you sit in the back of an airliner in which the pilot had only ever flown in a simulator?

Do not do not do it. The university is a complete scam. They are taking money from people because they can. I paid last year $3500 USD to attend. I was not placed into the online classes. I had no access to the pre-recorded lectures until a few days before exam time. I then got told that I did have access. One staff member literally grabbed my phone and started running searches to look for the access email. She could not find it as I had never been sent it. She then wanted me to send in an email that the access email had gone into my “junk” folder which it had not.
So- they told me I had access but I did not as you need a “new vision email address which I never had .
They took my money for the term and refuse to issue a refund. I have asked them for a transcript of my failed grades and a receipt for the semester and they refuse to give both.

The university is a scam. It is a run down building in the middle of nowhere. They are lazy and incompetent people running it and just want to take your money. I lost $3500 USD. I’ll never get it back.

I do not recommend this university at all. I should have looked at all the Google reviews for the university. I sent them 3500 USD. I did not get access to the online university program. I then asked for a refund. I was told by SME to send an email to them asking for a refund. I did that. I heard nothing.
I went there in person and was told that it didn’t matter that I had sent the email to them for the refund as the person I had sent it to no longer worked there.
Well that is not true. I still sen it to them before I got access.
The woman took my phone from me and went through my emails and could see I didn’t get the access email.
She told me to contact various parts of the university and say that both as gone into my “junk” email… ah… it had not.
I was basically told the only option was to ask to write the final exams. So no refund.
I did that. Suddenly I get an email saying there is a problem with my application and they are keeping my money and I get nothing.
Many stories like this… they are not providing the services or they don’t do something on their end and they blame you and keep your money.
Lots of students transfer out.

Stay far away!

The set up of this university is a scam. They do not want to issue refunds when there is a valid reason. It’s all about taking what ever they can from you and not delivering the services. You must work there or are decreasing your tuition by referring people.
