psychology at uni

anyone who goes Essex or ARU university for psych???/
Hi there!

My name is Lily and I am a third year psychology student at ARU. I thought I would tell you a bit about my experience.

I really enjoy my course, if you enjoy psych you will definitely have an interest in the modules. At ARU you have a broad range of modules from neuroscience to clinical and health psychology. My personal favourite so far has been stress and stress management which was part of my optional third-year modules. You also take part in assignments called live briefs, where you work with an organisation on a real-world problem, which can benefit you when you leave university and enter the real world. I think this is something which really makes a difference with choosing courses between universities and something you may consider to be a pro here at ARU.

Also I'm wondering what campus you would be choosing. I am at the Cambridge campus. There is so many facilities from Helmore gym, to the cafes on campus. Also outside of campus there is so many cafes and pubs for the nightlife. I personally commute which is so easy as we have the park and rides all around the city as well as the train station.

Overall my experience has been super great! I have felt super supported by all the lecturers and my tutors. When I needed any support, especially in the first year they really emphasise that you should reach out, as it all can be super overwhelming.

I hope this answers any questions you were having, and if you have anymore please feel free to ask.
