Using someone else's bus card is fraud, in that you're claiming a free bus journey to which you're not entitled. (Assuming you're not a 5 to 10-year old child who happens to have such a card themselves anyway.)

What happens next is entirely down to the bus company. It might be that nothing further happens - the confiscation of the card is the end of it.

Did the driver take your name/address details?

Shouldn’t be so bad on the buses the driver will probably just confiscate it. Bus companies are not know to be draconian unlike train companies. I do know it’s a relatively serious offence on the trains and can result in a court summons, criminal record. I don’t know about buses as they don’t have their own bylaws or their own police service so you should be ok, the worst thing is you won’t get the pass back.
Train companies on the other hand are quite harsh when it comes to any kind of fare evasion.
