Picking a-levels

I've just started seriously considering what a-levels I want to take and I'm stuck. My current maybes are Law, Spanish, Maths, RE, Sociology, and Media Studies. I'm already doing Spanish and RE at GCSE and have a predicted grade 8 and 9 respectively, but I'm not entirely sure if i want to do them at a-levels. I'm currently more set on Law and Spanish but I'm not entirely sure. I don't have a specific career path I'm interested in, many paths intrigue me also I'd like to go to a good uni. So I'd like to hear from anyone studying these subjects as a-levels what do you think of them+pros/cons, is there a best combination out of the mentioned subjects, are there any that unis don't like as much, and if you know any career paths surrounding the subjects.

id say def take maths because you can get into a wide variety of courses - although it is a challenge!

Good to know! How much harder is it than GCSE maths as i really do love maths and do quite well but worried the leap from GCSE to a-level will be too much

Maths, Spanish and either Economics or Sociology or even History would be an 'ideal' combination of subjects. Especially if you're applying for Law at Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL, KCL, SOAS, QMUL, Durham, Warwick, Bristol, York, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Southampton and Exeter.

Don't take Law at A-Level, as it is very different at degree level.

A-Level Maths is not difficult. Because you have TLMaths, HindsMaths, BicenMaths and ExamSolutions YouTube channels which produce A* and A grades every year by those who use the videos effectively. 😉 lol

Thank you so much, looks like I'm leaning towards maths, spanish, sociology!

A-Level Maths, Spanish and Sociology would allow you to do a Law degree at any top university providing you achieve A*AA or AAA for some universities.
