Should i do M1 or S2 or D1 IAL Maths

I did s1 for y12 and now idk if i should choose mechanics stats or decision for the third module. I want to focus on pure 3 and 4 and try to get an A* with those modules so i can’t invest much time into applied maths. Also i haven’t done gcse or a level physics and im not sure if mechanics will be too hard to learn from scratch. Is it easier to do M1 because it’s an AS module rather than S2? They don’t teach D1 or S2 in school i’d have to learn it myself, is that better than doing M1? I was planning on just continuing with M1 because it seems like less of a hassle but will it be harder to manage? I just want to pick the easiest module so i can focus on the pure components.

M1 can be learnt without studying physics prior, since it’s pretty much all new physics that wasn’t taught at prior levels. There’s just a fair bit of memorisation involved as they don’t give you any of the formulae you need in the formula book (hence flashcards may be useful for memorising them until such a time as you can remember them all).

PMT has excellent summary notes for all the modules in question and so learning the material for each of them is very much doable, plus you have plenty of past papers to practice with. I wouldn’t stress about which module you pick.

See the following for PMT M1 resources:

Can I take P3, P4, D1, M1?
I already did P1, P2, S1 (IAL)
School only has D1 but I need M1 to apply for the TU Delft.

I don't think there's anything to stop you taking that combination, but you'd need to speak to your exams officer to see if you can take an additional module.
