Not sure what Uni to go to

I've recently visited Uni of Manchester and MMU to look at maths courses there and from the two I can safely say that I prefer MMU however the ranking difference for the course I want to do (maths) is massive for UoM I think it's 13th and MMU is ranked 59th and I'm not sure if the Unis ranking is actually that important especially since at MMU I could take an industrial year too. On top of that at UoM I'm worried I'm gonna be around a load of elitist ponces all the time whereas at MMU everyone seemed a lot more down to earth and not up their own arses from when I went. Can someone please give me some advice on what to do I know there's other Universities in between the two on the rankings but I'd love to live in Manchester for my Uni days as well as when I graduate since it's such a nice city.

It's great to hear that you had a nice time at our open day!

You've still got time to finalise your uni choices as long as you get your application in before the January deadline. Then you'll have even more time after that to narrow down your firm and insurance choices (around May/June time) so I'd advise checking out some other universities at open days in the meantime 🙂
