UCAS points

Im currently in yr12 and was wondering what is considered good ucas points or what the average ucas points are. As I'm currently unsure.

That really depends on what course you are applying for.

Well most universities use grades as entry requirements.
'Good' is subjective.

For A-levels, they are calculated as follows:

A* 56
A 48
B 40
C 32
D 24
E 16

So three Bs is the equivalent of 120 UCAS points, three As is 144 points. Competitive courses usually publish their requirements in terms of grades. If a uni publishes its requirements in terms of UCAS points, there is often more flexibility in where those points come from. For example, a requirement of 120 points could mean that you are accepted with BBB or ABC.

Be aware that the majority of applicants don't take AS levels - and as a result, Universities do not use them as part of their assessment.
