Computer science offers so far

Hey, I sent my application off a week ago now for unis, Exeter, bath, Edinburgh, Durham and Oxford, and I was wondering if anyone has received any computer science offers yet. I got one from Exeter the other day, but I’m really curious to know if any of the other ones I’ve applied to have started to also give offers.

I’d also really like opinions on my chances of getting into Edinburgh and Durham. I’m on 4A*s predicted and I got 10 9s at GCSE, but I do go to a private school and I’m not too confident about my personal statement. I’ve heard that Edinburgh and Durham are really competitive, and to be honest I have no idea what the profile of a typical offer holder is

No. You'll likely get an offer anytime between now and April next year.

I know that waiting on offers can be stressful and irritating - please bear with us! Our admissions team are currently working through yours and everyone else's CS application and it just takes time to make sure all aspects receive the attention they deserve. Your offers can come any time between now and the end of April, so please don't worry if you haven't heard yet 🙂 I expect the same is the case with Edinburgh and Durham.

If you've already submitted your PS then please don't worry. Unis look at a variety of factors when considering your application, and the PS although important is only one of those factors in your overall profile.

I’ve applied to Edinburgh and it says 3A* - 3As are their standard offer but it depends on your predicted grades and all the contextual stuff from your school

Yeah. My understanding is that unless you are contextual the most common offer is 3A*, or at least that's the impression I was given on the open day. Might be wrong though

I've got an offer from Sheffield and Edingburgh. I sat A-level maths last year and got an A*, so Sheffield wants AA this year, and Edinburgh wants A*A*. Edinburgh wanting A*A*A* is their highest offer which sucks for me lol.
