Electrical Engineering with Math Bio Chem

I’m second year a levels studying Maths Biology and Chemistry predicted AAB do I have a chance of getting into electrical engineering as it’s something I’m interested in. I enjoyed physics at GCSE and got a high 7. If anyone could help with my choice I’d be grateful.

You can search the course online and see which universities offer it and then find out their grade requirements and subject requirements. Some will prefer a subject like physics/electronics/computing, but many don't.

Here are some examples to get you started, there will be many more if you do some research:

https://www.uea.ac.uk/course/undergraduate/beng-electrical-and-electronic-engineering - ABB requirements
https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/courses/2025/electrical-and-electronic-engineering-beng-hons#entry-requirements - ABB requirements
https://www.royalholloway.ac.uk/studying-here/undergraduate/electronic-engineering/electronic-engineering/ - ABB

Also, just to check that you know what you'd be getting yourself into, why are you interested in electrical engineering?

Hello! @F.sali 🙂
It's great you're thinking about applying to study electrical engineering!
As someone else has advised, have a look at universities' websites and see the entry requirements. Most will have at least one compulsory subject, usually maths.
UEA offer an electrical and electronic engineering course, for which you meet the entry requirements for, provided you achieve ABB!
It's also worth noting you should attend open days to universities you like the sound of, as this gives you the opportunity to talk to current students and staff and get a more in depth idea of what the course is about.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Thanks for your reply I’ve found a few unis which don’t require physics. I’m interested in it because my dad works in this field I worked with him in the summer and really enjoyed it so I was hoping I could find a way into it.
