Edinburgh Unconditional Offer - Law (Hons)

Hi there! I'm an international applicant and I submitted my application to Edinburgh before Oct. 15 this year. A couple of days ago I got an unconditional offer from Edinburgh to study law (Hons)! However, looking at their website, it seems like this isn't the normal decision timeline. Does anyone know what's going on with this incredibly early offer notification date? I don't think it's mentioned on their website at all.

For context, these were my stats:
SAT: 1570
APs: US Gov & Politics/Econ (5), English Language & Composition (5), US History (5), Seminar (5), Chinese Language & Culture (5), Physics I (4), Precalculus (4), Research (4)
Pending AP exams: European History, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, English Literature & Composition, Statistics, Calculus AB
LNAT: I took the LNAT, but it's not considered for Edinburgh.
Personal statement/experience: I had a lot of law-related classes, legal internships, research, competitions, Mock Trial, etc.
Reference: My reference was a teacher who knows me super well and has been involved w/ all the law stuff I've been doing.

I also got an offer from the University of Glasgow to study law about a week prior to Edinburgh! Again, not sure why these two gave decisions so early but I'm obviously super thrilled. If anyone has an explanation for Edinburgh that'd be really helpful - unlike Glasgow, its website doesn't discuss early offers at all.
If any concerns then perhaps contact Edinburgh university and ask them about this matter, it might be legit that they offered you a place earlier than usual.

Not a Edinburgh university student as I went to another university in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh resident.

I assume you are an applicant from US (or N. America). In UK, often, students receive conditional offers based on exams they are going to take *next* year. For US applicants, since you have taken (enough) APs, and SAT/ACT etc. during high school, all your relevant results and references are already in. So they could decide now--to accept or reject. (Someone I know also got early unconditional offers before Nov in the year he/she applied, not for law though.) A few other comments: (1) If for any reason, you decide to decline/reject the offer, they could move on and offer the place to another well-qualified (international) candidate. (2) Depending on the particular course you are applying to, the universit(ies) you are interested in may not teach common law. You need to consider the implications--incl. where you plan to live and work, and whether you may need to take additional exams. To sum: Yes, it is legit and it happens, mainly because all you exam results are available already. (3) However, some universities may still hold off giving out offers in such situations. Not all universities/subjects departments do that. I hope that helps.
