Wjec medical science where can it take me

I am choosing my post 16 options soon and I know that I can take the wjec medical science but I am not sure what unis or what careers it can take me.
I'm doing Medical Science at university currently so I don't know much about this course personally but I should imagine it will set you up with a good standard of lab skills, understanding of chemistry (theoretical and practical) as well as other scientific skills. Career wise, this can lead you in many different directions: biomedical technology, medicine, medical science, business, and so much more. It is definitely a broad subject and doesn't limit you in terms of your career path should you change your prospects

There are many universities that would accept this qualification I should imagine but I would always do some research on universities that are of interest to you. It would set you up with a good application to medical science related degrees and some universities aren't fussy about subjects so you'd only need to achieve certain grades regardless of your subject. Obviously this depends on the individual university but I got an offer from the University of Liverpool for History last year and I hadn't done history since GCSE, only a Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Take subjects you enjoy, as long as you get good grades you'll be in a good position 🙂 Best of luck.
