How to get the most out of your open day!

Hey Everyone

Our Open Day season is currently underway!

Open Days are super useful in providing an insight into university life.

Here are some of my top tips on how to prepare for attending an Open Day,

1. Once you know the dates that you can attend, I would always say to mark it in your calendar beforehand. This eliminates any confusion and double-booking yourself. Additionally, if you want your family or friends to attend with you for a second opinion it makes it easier for them to ensure that they remain free.

2. Normally, universities will email you a timetable in advance of the Open Day, this is really useful if you're interested in studying a combined course that takes place on different campuses, so you can plan your days a little bit better and attend multiple subject talks.

3. Have a few key questions ready to ask academics and other university teams that will be at the Open Day, whether it is about course content, assessments or what is life like on campus.

4. Lastly, if you have time go and explore the surrounding area/ city this is a great way to feel for the city and if you could see yourself living and studying there.

We look forward to seeing you
