"we will contact you by" date is today...?

Hi,
I was a late student finance applicant and it wasn't a straightforward application (estranged from parents and on disability benefits), on my account it has had a notification saying they are reviewing my evidence and will have an update by the 21st of October, which is today.
Should I be concerned that it's now 6pm and my account still has not updated? How often do sfe fail to meet deadlines they've set themselves? I will call them tomorrow but I just wondered if anyone has any insight, this is all causing a lot of anxiety, I knew it would take them a while but theyve set the date back once already and now they've seemingly missed it... I'm utterly skint having more outgoings than usual and significantly less income, I was hoping to at least know what was happening today!

Hi there, The dates provided are expected review dates. When you call the advisor will provide you with the new expected review date if the online account has not updated. Thanks, Angela
