Cambridge Written Work (Hispol)

Hi everyone,

I'm applying to History & Politics at Cambridge and was hoping to get suggestions on what written work to submit. In my PS, I wrote in-depth about a few research papers I did during lower sixth. However, ever since school has started this year, I've written much better papers compared to my lower sixth essays. Should I still submit my lower sixth writing since I talked about it in detail in my PS even though it doesn't reflect my best writing?

Thanks!

What do you mean by research papers vs this year. Are the essays from this year history/politics a-level papers?

I'm not in the British school system so I don't do A-Levels. The essays I wrote last year (which I wrote about in my PS) and the essays I wrote this year since school started are all history/politics.
Thought I might piggyback this thread…

I'm applying to Cambridge for history and politics and am struggling to select my written work.

My main problem is that due (in part) to some extenuating circumstances (mentioned in my UCAS reference) I have completed few essays this year and those that I have completed do not best reflect my academic potential.

Would it be okay for me to submit work from last year (Year 12/ Lower 6th). This is the only work that I feel fits the brief of 'accurately reflecting my abilities and interests' as recommended in the guidelines for written work submission.

Thank you in advance to anyone that responds.

Send in your best essays from this year in your case.
