Hi there,

What a fab set of results! You must have worked really hard to achieve those so huge kudos for that.

According to the complete university guide, other very, very good unis for psychology are us here at Bath, St Andrews, Cambridge and Loughborough.

Unis look at a number of factors when reading through your application, and GCSEs whilst important are only a small part of that. Your predicted grades, personal statement, and contextual circumstances are also taken into account, and so its difficult to predict whether you will get offers based on your GCSE grades alone.

Your GCSEs are honestly great and put you in a good place to make a competitive application. We usually advise to have one aspirational uni choice (UCL, Oxbridge, LSE, Bath, St Andrew's) whose requirements may be a tad above your predicted grades, 2-3 unis with requirements at your predicted grades, and one insurance choice uni with requirements one or two grades below what you're predicted but that you'll still be very happy to study at, just to give you a safety net in case things don't go to plan on results day.

I hope this helps, very best of luck!

Hello!

Its very difficult to predict as it differs each year! Essentially your offer can come anytime between now and the end of April. Don't worry about this, because how long you find yourself has no bearing whatsoever on the likelihood of getting an offer - its just that the admissions team takes time to assess everyone's application fairly, giving each one a high level of attention. I know its frustrating but try to bear with us on it 🙂

Any questions please let us know!

Those are fine. I don't think LSE is really considered a "top uni" for psychology in general. It's a relatively new course for them and somewhat out of their main areas. There are many other far more established undergraduate psychology courses e.g. Bath, KCL, Edinburgh, etc.
