abodus student living?

has any been with abodus before? i am having some financial issues with my sfe still being processed and being given minimum amount which won’t cover my rent.
are they lenient and understanding? i’ve let them know about the issue but they don’t give much support. i am scared they might take me to court if i overdue the rent by 28 days but i really don’t have any other money at the moment

Having the same problems right now. Trying to find a replacement. They keep spamming emails

so annoying. i keep asking if there is anything to do and they only say find a replacement like.. i am aware

My SFE was straight up rejected. So I need to find someone else anyways. Not having luck atm. Talking to them is like talking to a brick wall. Idk what to do. They sent me a “Final Notice”

that sucks! i cant believe they don’t allow you to quit the tenancy anyway?? they keep saying they do exceptions for excruciating circumstances but what is more excruciating than no money.

me neither ive been looking for a month now and literally no interest. had one person interested and he said it’s no longer what he needs 😭 totally lost hope tbh, and most people want incentives or extra weeks of rent payed and i cannot

i paid part only because i applied for hardship fund fund from uni but it only covered like 1/4 so they’ll start sending emails again😑

Are there any sites you’re using to find people to takeover the tenancy? As I’m struggling here man

did you tell the uni about the sfe issue? they should usually help you with extending the time you have to pay, i mean after all it is student accommodation they must help you . to be fair mine isn’t helping at all but your issue is different than mine

They’ve already sent it man. I withdrew from the course and applied for a new course. So don’t need the accom. What about you. What’s ur situation right now?

i was given minimum loan for which i was not prepared as i should have had more so now the money is not enough to cover the rent .. my fault really but no idea what to do in this situation

They still asking you for the money? And are you sure you’re not entitled to more than the minimum?

yeah they are sending emails, they said i need to pay before January the latest, or they’ll do debt collection. I’m not entitled because I cannot get my parent’s household income to support my application (complicated relationship lol) so i have no proof to give them rn
