Economics at Nottingham

Hi, I have recently gotten an offer from Nottingham for their Economics program. I wanted to ask how the program is with regards to the quality of education, future job prospects, internships etc. I also want to apply for masters in the top unis in uk ( UCL, Oxbridge, LSE) Would a student from Nottingham have a decent chance of getting into these unis with good grades and ecas? Thank you for your help.

I'm afraid I don't have the answer to your question. I was just wondering when your application was sent in to get an offer cause I applied there for the same course 😅

Economics at Nottingham is very highly regarded by Investment Banks and all other employers. The only UK departments considered to be better are at Cambridge, LSE, UCL and Warwick. I don't think Oxford don't do Economics as a single course, so l haven't included them to the above list.

One thing to bear in mind is that students at campus universities like Nottingham tend to be rowdy and party going students in the first year. Don't expect to meet many studious students in the first year at Nottingham. They take second year more seriously, and third year seriously.

I actually believe this is partly why top employers like Nottingham graduates. They want to hire graduates who can offer more than just good grades in their degrees. They want people who are confident, outgoing, and team players.
