do you think this is acceptable as an adult?

when i want to talk about bullying to a member of staff in the college, and i get the response of ''teachers have talked to me about this, i don't want to hear this gossip''
i thought how is bullying gossip?
i didn't like the response
i dont understand i thought members of staff are suppose to have empathy towards students have issues in the building

You've made 4 threads today about bullying at your college. Not including the one you asked to be removed. In total you've made 198 threads since last month, I'll wager at least half of those were about bullying too.

If you don't think something was dealt with professionally, make a formal complaint. You are 17, that is within your power.

Ultimately you don't need to endlessly check what other people think. There are thousands of people on TSR, so you will always get a mess of contradictory responses. I doubt they are putting your mind at ease, otherwise you would be posting less, and enjoying college more.

That response is definitely not what you’d expect or deserve when you’re dealing with something as serious as bullying. It’s disappointing when those who are supposed to support and protect you brush off your concerns as mere gossip. Bullying is never just gossip; it’s a serious issue that affects your mental and emotional well-being.
You might want to consider speaking to another member of staff, like a counselor or the head of your department. Sometimes, it’s about finding the right person who will listen and take action. It’s essential that your concerns are heard and addressed properly. You deserve a safe and supportive environment.
Keep pushing for what you know is right. You’re worth being heard.
