OCR B, elements of life so far
OCR A I love bonding and Structure but I'm finding Amounts of Substances a bit challenging
A-Level Edexcel Chemistry
Salut!
I'm doing Ocr A and I find the ionisation energies challenging 😔 but everything else is all good!
For those that do this examboard there is an online spec checklist by the examboard themselves! Not sure if ocr b has one tho?
Heyyy
I'm in year 12 and doing edexcel chemistry
So far it's quite difficult and not going well but I'm gonna use the half term to hopefully go over everything and feel more confident in the current topics (strucutre and bonding, calculations and atomic structure)
Hi! I’m in Y12 and I am studying AQA A-level chemistry. I’ve found all the topics interesting so far, but I have to say my first mock did not go the greatest…but, no point giving up now because there is 100% room for improvement!

Definitely, in year 12 end of year mocks I got a grade E, worked hard during the summer to bump it up to a B at the start of year 13 and I am having another exam next week to see if I can get an A grade prediction

That’s amazing!

Hi,
I am in year 12 and I'm doing edexcel chemistry. Right now I am learning the maths side of chem like the moles, empirical formula, etc. I think it's okay but it's just so many steps and formulas to remember 😢
AQA chemistry. We have finished atomic structure topic so far, it didn't make any sense and it was very when i was taught in class, but it was very interesting and enjoyable when i self studied slowly it afterwards. Now, we started doing amount of substance and calculations.
Are the textbooks helpful for chemistry? and if so which ones I'm doing OCR btw

CGP does A-level chemistry revision guides. I have the AQA ones and they are pretty good. You can probably get them on Amazon.
Topical questions are the key then past papers when you have exams or mocks
AQA Chemistry. We've finished atomic structure and amount of substance, we are about to move onto bonding. I didnt find the topics that mind boggling, but only because i watched some freesciencelessons videos in the y11 summer holidays on the initial stuff

Hiii! I'm doing aqa, i'm really enjoying the small biology sides to the course, for example learning about DNA and how bases are bonded and proteins, but i REALLYYYY struggle with amount of substance.....
I’m studying A lev Chem as a homeschooled student. Absolutely love it. Anyone doing similar here?

how are you revising ?
I have an account on savemyexam, absolutely love it. I do a past paper and when I'm marking it I take notes of the topic that need revision. Then go to savemyexam.
