Postgraduate loan & SFE payments

Hello,

I'm currently studying a 1 year postgraduate course at BCU, it started in Jan 2024 and finishes in Jan 2025.

However, I enrolled in the placement version of the course which adds an additional 6 months onto the course.

When I applied for SFE, I put in all the relevant dates and they calculated my payments over a 2 year duration.

I'm unsure whether I'm going to get a placement since it's not guaranteed, but my SFE payments for 2025 are 'awaiting confirmation' from the university that I will be enrolled on my course.

I received an email today saying that if I get a placement, they can send confirmation.

If I can't get a placement and I reduce my course length with SFE to 1 year, will I still get the full loan paid to me?

Hi there,

If you're not doing the placement then we need your university to send us a Change of Circumstances to confirm the course length has changed so we can then amend your payments.

Thanks,
Claire

Thanks for your fast response Claire!

Would I need to complete the change of circumstances form through my SFE account in this situation?
