Biological Natural Sciences @ Cambridge (2025 entry)

Is anyone applying for Biological Natural Sciences at Cambridge? If so, what ESAT modules did you choose and how did you find it? Also, which college have you applied to?

Hey! I’m applying physical not bio but they consider all the Natscis together. I did M1, M2 and P. It wasn’t way too bad for me (I think I got lucky w an ok paper). I finished both maths w some time to spare. Physics was a bit dodgy tho and had to guess a couple and I think I made a few silly mistakes asw. I’m applying kings. What abt u?

Yep. I got an invite! It was in a chem lesson and I got a detention for checking my phone but it was worth it lol…

that’s amazing well done!! what were your predicted grades and gcses etc

woahhh you made isaac physics?! those are amazing stats. i have 3a*s predicted, got 6 9s, 4 8s and a 7 at gcse. my favourite part of my application was probably research on pigments in a paper i did following some work experience in a lab. i haven’t done any olympiad’s really. same for me too about interviews too, if you would like some practise i may be able to help if i also get an interview 🤞🤞

Yep good luck! I didn’t make Isaac, I just finsihed every challenge question (maths and physics) on the website😀

How did you not make it then? I didn’t finish them all yet I made the camp. I’m working on the further As and Uni ones now, have you tried those?

Yep unfortunately in our school we had 5 people who did every question. Only two of them actually made the summer school cos they said they only allow two people max per Skl or some bs ( was quite ****ed after that😭). Yep I’ve done the further A and Uni qs asw!

Well done to you! That’s a shame though. What they told us on the camp was that it’s the commitment that they’ll look for on ps, not having been on the camp. Which school was that by the way? I’ve heard of some pretty intense ones and I think I know the person who got on.

hi bit late but me ! i did maths 1, bio, and chem. found maths 1 TRAUMATIC..., absolutely ate on bio (finished really early, confident on every q), and then i did pretty decently on chem but ran out of time bc i had a bunch of calculations at the end so... mixed overall! ive applied to christs
