anki for a level bio and chem

do you guys think making and using flashcards on anki for aqa a level biology and chemistry is worth the time and effort?
Yes, I recommend making flashcards after each lesson you have to make sure you're keeping on top of the content. Anki is great because it uses spaced repetition which ensures you remember the content. I personally think it's worth the time and effort because a-levels have so much content so having a good active recall system (like anki) makes remembering content so much easier.

If you don't want to make your own flashcards then there are pre-made flashcards on anki (which other users have made and shared themselves)

Anki is my life and savior for Biology and Chemistry (also works surprisingly well for Maths!). As the person above me said, it really helps to make sure you're recalling content effectively. I find it a lot easier than having to figure what I need to revise and cram before an exam. Just make sure you have an hour~ish free everyday to review your flashcards.

I personally enjoyed making my own flashcards but I'll admit, it is VERY time-consuming depending on the amount of detail you want. Have a look at a few shared decks before deciding.

I used it for chemistry (don’t take bio) and it’s perfect for memorising the content

For me personally, I think it’s a lot (tho i think most alevels have a lot) but not insane. There is understanding involved in the stuff you have to memorise (which does help) but some things more than others

yh i would do it but have a look on quizlet first. there's some anki plugins which let u copy decks from quizlet onto anki which saves time.

Hello, if exams are fast approaching it may be better to use pre-made flashcards because flashcards can be quite time consuming to make, especially with a content heavy subjects. If pre-made flashcards aren't working for you, you could still make your own if this will help you.

There are other active recall techniques like blurting and mind maps which could help as well, as these allow you to focus revision on topics you may be weaker on.
