Hi! Im in year 12 and doing OCR maths 🙂 I did fsmq last year so im finding it to be not so difficult so far thankfully! The topic from fsmq I enjoyed most was probably integrals because i find the derivation of the methods really satisfying. I do find algebraic manipulation really enjoyable too though! Im not really sure what im find hard so far, i do need to work on graphing functions from equations though as i did that last week.

Ciao
I'm doing AQA (feels like I got the wrong end of the stick)
And currently enjoying the pure maths over stats and mechs
I currently find everything hard 😞 but it's interesting so it's keeping me engaged!
I recommend maths genie, Corbett maths, revisely.
if anyone has anything like Corbett maths 5 a day please let me know thank you or even more maths resources!

Heyyy
I'm in year 12 and do edexcel maths
I prefer pure at the moment because applied is a lot of physics which is not my cup of tea tbh
We use dr frost maths which I kinda like

Hii I do Edexcel Maths! I most enjoy pure and struggle with mechanics ☹️

Hiya, I do OCR MEI Maths and Further Maths (Y12). I did the OCR FSMQ in Y11 like @DerDracologe. It covered like half of AS maths which was helpful. I think all parts of maths are enjoyable - currently no preference between pure and applied. I think maths is brilliant because it promotes logical and analytical thinking, and the satisfaction of getting questions correct is immense :colondollar:

My school also uses DrFrost- i get like an hour of it per week. I dont like how it sometimes wont accept a correct answer for input differences but other than that i dont mind it too much- prefer Mathswatch though which we used to use.

Hi Everyone,

I'm in Year 13 doing OCR B MEI Maths and further maths.

I like parametrics and calculus the most, and mechanics, and hate anything to do with geometry, and the large data set.

You're one of the first people I know that does MEI! Our collage does it too but it seems no one else does it throughout the country, with most people on Edexcel

I’ve heard OCR B is pretty hard apparently there’s like a comprehension section?? My teacher told me about it briefly but I’m doing OCR A maths and further maths. I also hate the large data set I swear it’s the most irrelevant topic in the curriculum

My experience too! Don't really know that many people doing MEI of OCR A.

Out of curiosity, do you do the MEI Ritangle Challenge?
