In theory I can live without it. I live in a house that one of my parents bought a while back because they both needed space away at a certain point. They both come every weekend, so we buy groceries then. (The financial burden of food and bus money on my parents? Not sure, I don't think they mind, they haven't said anything?) I don't fw any of the uni drinking and partying stuff or buying takeout so that's also money saved. But like.. I heard I should get it anyway because out of all the times in life to borrow money this is a good position to do so. But it feels odd to have.. expendable money that I can use for things I like. It feels like a waste of money and won't I have to pay this all back anyway..?
The reason I've been considering it is because sometimes I'm becoming more and more like.. 'yeah, I could use an energy drink right now', or whatever junk I crave, which.. well it's been taking around four quid off of me every week, which... definitely is adding up. and I've been thinking of starting gym maybe, but obviously membership costs a decent bit of money and I want to go to a quiet one first as a complete noob to gym. I think maintenance loan is supposed to be mainly for just surviving like food and transport money, but I'd probably use it just for quality of life stuff... Is that allowed?
