student support arrangement on ucas
Do I have to find a centre that provides student finance (as in does the uni sort that out or do I have to contact a provider of student finance)? And also, where do I select for the student support arrangement? Would it be the area that I live in, or the area that uni is located in?

If you live in England, you apply to Student Finance England.
If you live in Wales, you apply to Student Finance Wales.
If you live in Scotland, you apply to SAAS.
If you live in NI, you apply to Student Finance Northern Ireland.
Applications usually open in March/April for entry to uni the following September/October. It is best to apply as soon as you can so that finance is in place for the start of your course. If you haven't received all your offers or decided your firm choice by the time you apply for finance, just put down your favourite as the uni can be changed later.
