gcse revision advice

i’m in year 10 doing higher combined science how do i revise the sciences like biology?
hi there! the best thing you can do to revise is flash cards and mind maps, they basically saved me at gcse. if you’re not sure what to put on them, you can do them by topic, by definition etc. one on ecology, one on cell biology etc. mindmaps are of course great visual aids for your wall where you can draw diagrams and stem everything relevant off each other and i’m sure you can find examples online. flashcards are good for memory and quick recalling answers, for example for the smaller marks questions.

also don’t forget past papers! they can be great to get used to structure of questions. then you can use the mark scheme to help improve your answers.

hope this helps!
Just a tip of advice, One thing I wish I did more of when studying gcse combined was past paper questions. They may seem difficult at first, especially when a new topic may seem foreign, however try get in to the habit of when finishing a topic eg: enzymes, firstly try an open book exam question, then try a closed book exam question. If you get in the habit of making yourself comfortable with the formula of the questions you'll be given, you'll find them much easier to answer in the long run.

I hope this answers your question !
