History A-level edexcel revision

Just started year 12 and have no clue how to revise history. I've tried making flashcards but struggling to pick out key info from the textbook and class notes, is there a better way or better resources or do I just need to put everything into flashcards?

Honestly history is all about memorising so if flashcards are what help you the most with that then I'd say they would help you with the content side. I did AQA history so I'm not too sure how similar it is to edexcel but we had essays and interpretations that we had to look at. For analysing sources and evaluation in essays I would say you should make your own structure, something that you can apply to every essay/ interpretation and get one of your teachers to check and see if it works well. I'd also say as the year goes on the content just keeps piling up so make sure you do some active recall and write notes/ flashcards or whatever works for you weekly to make sure you don't have to waste time you could be spending perfecting your analysing technique by writing notes for content especially since the evaluation part is where most people struggle with. Keep in mind that evaluation is pretty hard to do well and it can only improve with doing practice questions so don't be discouraged!!
