Appeal decision by student finance

Hello, in July I applied to the full tuition fee and maintenance loan. my BA is FULL time 8 hours per day so its impossible to pay for a humble life in London without any help.I have been living in the Uk since 2020 and i am spanish, I asked in july and on the phone and via the questions online it was clear I could apply. I work part time for a babysitting app, and because i work with many families i dont have a contract with 1 to present paylisps, I am under the minimun to be selfemployed, so Student Finance asked me for signed letter from the families i work with, 3 months bank statements, all the info from the sittings from the app, and after presenting all of that an much more they just denied me the maintance loan saying that i am not eligible for full student support, and I cant believe all of this, i recieved 0 EXPLANATION, i have been waiting more than 3 months, and I showed them very clearly that I work and i plan to keep working weekends while studying, but thats not enough to pay rent, food, transport, materials from uni, and more basic things. Its imposible to think someone can study all day everyday and handle to survive with a weekend job.
They said go apply for the tuition fee as a EU student. I am upset as this is not fair.
Can I appeal to their decision? how do i do it? thanks
Hi there. Have you tried to contact us directly as there should be an explanation given as to why it was rejected? Thanks, Leah.

Hi Leah. I called like 5 times since receiving the email that says I am not eligible and Sadly all I got was "you are not eligable this is what it says here. There is nothing you can do." . This decision that doesn't have explanation as I presented every paper and more. Really complicates everything for me I am afraid If I can't pay my rent as studying 8 hours Monday to friday. I really need it to study. What can I do Leah? I am desperate.

Hi there,

It sounds like you were applying as a Migrant Worker, is that right?

As in, were you providing evidence to show you were working while you study?

Thanks, Graeme

Hi Graeme. I showed all my bosses letters with their sign, address, email address and contact number, so its very easy to contact them and be sure i am telling the truth, 3 months of my bank statements, the screanshots from the nanny app, m share code, my office letter, everything said they they needed.
Hi there,

We are unable to access accounts on the student room so we are unable to check for you. I would advise you contact us again as they should be able to advise why you are not eligible.

Thanks, Drew

Hi Drew. Sadly it's not like that. I have called and spoke with at least 10 advisors. They say they don't know and that is what they decide. But it's not a light decision this affects my life studies and economy. I want to appeal. Because it's clearly a wrong decision base in not enough reasons to be denied how can I appeal? My case needs to be reviewed. Thanks

I've enclosed the link for appealing: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/appeals-procedure. Please be advised these are taking 40+ working days as a current estimated timescale once received. Thanks, Jason
