GCSEs for Oxford PPE

I really want to study PPE and also want to study at Oxbridge but Cambridge don’t offer this course so I’ll have to apply to Oxford and ik they are more tight on GCSEs
At GCSE I got 9999887776 at a state school but a high achieving one. Are the grades good enough or will I waste my time applying(I’m currently in yr12).

Your GCSEs are fine, as you have a good spread of 7-9 grades. 😉

I wonder which A-Levels you're taking? Because 95% of applicants for PPE had A-Level Maths. Then the common subjects were History, Economics, Politics, Sciences and Languages.

I do maths history and politics and I got a 9 in both history and maths at gcse but I got a 7 in English language so I was unsure if that’d be enough for essay writing courses

Can't see why it would be an issue overall. You have the right A-level subject in maths (and your others are relevant and useful), good GCSEs, as long as you do well on the TSA I can't see any glaring reasons you wouldn't be prospectively invited to interview.

To talk from a position inside the university staff, your GCSEs barely matter in comparison to you A-levels, TSA results, Written Work, and interview outcomes. We wouldn't put all of these things in place in our admissions process if GCSEs were at all useful for figuring out who would best fit Oxford.
