Will I be able to get into top universities with my GCSE grades

I’m a Year 12 student who is planning on applying to Oxbridge and other Russell Group universities and possibly Ivy League schools in America to study Engineering/STEM related fields. I was wondering if I would have a chance at these schools with the GCSE grades I received in Year 11.
9- Maths
9- Chemistry
9-History
8-Bio
8-Physics
7-English Lit
7-Business
7-Religious Education (2 marks off 8)
6-English Language (3 marks off 7)
6-Sociology (1 mark off 7)
4-German

I’m stronger in my STEM subjects and am now taking 4 A-Levels (Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, Physics).
If I were to get 4 A*s in my A-Levels and had moderately strong extracurriculars/ supercurriculars would I have a chance to get into the top universities? I’m really worried that my GCSE grades might make my application less competitive and am seriously considering retaking English Language. Should I be worried (I REALLY want to get into the top schools) and what advice would you give to improve my application to make up for my grades.

Your grades are fine. Just focus on your A levels.

You'll probably be fine most places don't really mind especially if it is not relevant to the course however but people really don't care how far off you were from the next grade you still got a 6. Those are some fantastic results though
