Personal statements for sixth form

I’m supposed to write one by November 6 or 7 but I dont know what to write. I want to do Math, sociology, psychology, biology and possibly Spanish for a level but my school only does 4 a levels and 4 essays which count as half an a level each.
Hi! Are you in the uk? Im just asking because its quite unusual to allow students to do 5 a levels unless its a private school. Either way, id suggest sticking to 3 subjects- 4 if you plan to drop one within year 12. If you would like i can help you to make a decision about subject choices but if you’ve done research already then i trust you’ve considered workload and whether you need all these subjects plus you’re confident on what content is covered, how its assessed etc etc
For the personal statements for sixth form, the way i structured mine was to have one paragraph per subject i wanted to study and then a final paragraph on hobbies and interests outside of my chosen subjects.
Eg: for maths, I mentioned: why i was enjoying maths at gcse; why i wanted to carry on with it; its relevance to what i want to study at uni if any; what skills i have as a person which suit me to the subject; maths challenges and enrichment i had done which show my passion for the subject. I applied for biology and physics alongside maths, let me know if you need more examples of stuff you can put.
For the last paragraph on other interests you can mention stuff like volunteering, work experience, any clubs not relevant to your subjects, hobbies you spend time on- its to show you’re more of an all rounder and would join in with activities and the school community.
Hope this helps and happy to try to help further if you need it 🙂 hope you have a great day!
