How are method marks awarded for the pat 2024

As far as I am aware, we are given whiteboards that need to be returned. How will we store our working out then to be awarded method marks?

I don’t think they will award method marks, since it is all online and MCQ, so they would not be able to see any working out we had done anyways.

I have a friend sitting the PAT and they told me that some questions have a certain value of mark as they more want to see your thought processing. Apparently, but I am not sure on how true that is. Or your working is handed into the exam centre for them to upload it for an examination review?

On the preparing for PAT course they explained sorta in a QnA session, saying that questions would be 2, 3, or 4 marks each and they had chosen answer options such that they could infer where you went wrong in the question, like one might be the result of the correct method but forgetting something halfway, and another if you did a wrong method that might have been commonly thought to have been right. I think they did this in previous years maybe since all the multiple choice were 2 marks. and ontop of that i remember an integration question where you got to one of the answers by integrating everything right but accidentally differentiating one of the terms, so they seem to have thought it through

I just did it and asked and they do not photograph the whiteboards they give you for working, so no working marks sadly!
