Is it too risky applying to KCL mpharm

can someone give me advice please, im predicted ABB and the grade requirements are AAB for pharmacy at kcl, on the ucas website the lowest grades for pharmacy that kcl had accepted was BBB. Would i waste my application if i apply to kings? I wish they did a foundation year for pharmacy

I wouldn’t say it’s a waste of an application, as you’re only one grade off. You may be made an aspirational offer of AAB, despite being predicted ABB, so long as everything else within your application is strong. If you’re eligible for contextual offers, this may also be something that works in your favour, as the contextual requirements are ABC (which you would meet with your current predicted grades). Bear in mind that the historical data on UCAS includes contextual applicants and those who have been on access programmes for example.
KCL is stupidly competitive - and its all a bit daft, as all MPharm degrees are accredited as equal by the GPhC, all cover the same syllabus, and neither the NHS or your future patients are going to care where you trained.

There are plenty of MPharm courses that ask for AAB and you have far more chance of getting an offer from any of them than KCL. Every year 100s of applicants to KCL etc get rejected - even those who meet or exceed their entry requirements. It isnt a 'better' course - however you think you can measure that - so you really do have to think beyond the supposed glamour of being 'in London' and all the fake Uni snobbery.
